Privacy policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This page explains how your data is handled when you visit gainsgeek.com or sign up for the newsletter. Short version: the newsletter needs only your first name and email address, and our hosting provider handles basic technical data to deliver and protect the site. Nothing is sold, and there are no ads or retargeting.

Who is responsible

Gains Geek sp. z o.o., ul. Ślusarska 12, 84-230 Rumia, Poland (KRS 0001202773, NIP 5882538401) is the controller of your personal data. For any privacy question or request, email damian@gainsgeek.com.

Newsletter

What is collected. When you submit the signup form, Kit (our email service provider) stores your first name and email address, along with when you subscribed and confirmed. You confirm your subscription through a link in the first email. Kit also records whether you open the emails and which links you click, which shows which notes are useful.

Why. To send you the daily newsletter you asked for. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.

How long. As long as you stay subscribed. After you unsubscribe, Kit keeps your email address marked as unsubscribed so you are not emailed again. To have it deleted completely, email us.

Visiting the site

Cloudflare hosts this site. To deliver and protect it, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details, such as your browser and the page you requested.

  • Security cookie. Cloudflare's bot protection sets one cookie, cf_clearance, that tells people from bots. It is strictly necessary for security, does not track you across sites and expires within a year.
  • Visit statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics, a small script, counts page visits and measures loading speed. It uses no cookies, does not fingerprint you and does not identify individual visitors. We see only totals, such as which pages are visited and from which countries.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure site and knowing which pages are used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The site has no other cookies, no ad networks, no retargeting pixels and no other trackers.

Who processes your data

  • Kit (Kit, Inc., United States) stores your newsletter data and sends the emails on our behalf. Your data is processed in the United States; Kit is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions. Privacy policy: kit.com/privacy
  • Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States) hosts and protects the site on its global network, including outside the EU. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Both process data for us under data processing agreements that are part of their terms. We do not sell, trade or share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access the data held about you.
  • Rectify any inaccurate data.
  • Erase your data (right to be forgotten).
  • Restrict processing of your data.
  • Portability, receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what happened before.

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. One click removes you from all mailings. For any other request, email us at the address above. We answer within one month.

You can also complain to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl, or to the data protection authority where you live or work.
